Samsung is expected to unveil new phones that are AI-powered, on January 17
Samsung just revealed that its newest Galaxy phones would be unveiled during a press conference on January 17 in San Jose, California.
In the smartphone market, Samsung is Apple's biggest rival. According to Counterpoint Research, the business has a 20% portion of the worldwide smartphone industry, compared to Apple's 16% share. Additionally, Samsung has a 25% market share in the United States, trailing Apple's 53%. New features not seen on the iPhone might help it attract more buyers.
Samsung said Tuesday evening that its new handsets will provide a "all-new mobile experience powered by AI."
In the past, Samsung has used Qualcomm CPUs in its devices sold in the US. The next handsets, which are expected to be called the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, may be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon Series 8 Gen 3 for Android phones. Samsung is generally one of the first phone manufacturers to utilize Qualcomm's most recent CPUs.
In October, Qualcomm announced that its new Snapdragon CPUs will enable phones to run generative artificial intelligence apps directly on the device.
Because queries would not need to be forwarded to the cloud, on-device versions of AI chatbots may make discussions more private. Qualcomm also demonstrated how its processors can produce graphics based on a string of words.
